Anti-Bullying

Optimism implements programs to prevent bullying among Georgetown County Youth. Programs include an annual anti-bullying parade, which involves many Georgetown County agencies and schools, among other events.

Teen Pregnancy Prevention

Every year, for Teen Pregnancy Prevention Month, Optimism hosts several events, including panel discussions, speakers, and other activities for students to become aware of teen pregnancy prevention.

Operation: Get SMART

Operation Get Smart is an annual event where students from across Georgetown County come to hear South Carolina inmates speak about their stories. Youth advisors, churches, counselors, and other community leaders are present and motivate children to get smart and stay smart regarding crime prevention.
